Corn on the Cob

We had corn on the cob for dinner last night and Ashlynn was being so cute I just had to take pictures. Nothing special. Just my two cute kiddies! P.S. Don't judge me because Ashes has her shirt off. It's a whole lot easier to clean lasagna off skin than a shirt!!!

Youth Conference

Over the Fourth of July weekend, Eric and I had the opportunity to go with the youth in our ward to Martin's Cove for our Stake Youth Conference. We had one young woman, six young men, and six leaders from our ward. Plus, two other couples who are in our ward, but on the stake committee. I, actually, wrote a huge long post about the trip but realized nobody wanted to hear everything we did step-by-step so now you are just getting the pictures. I didn't even finish writing the post and it's three pages single spaced on Word! It's my journal too so I had to write it anyway, but I didn't want to bore you! SERENDIPITY

This last week we had the opportunity to go down to Lake Powell with my family. It was going to be just me and Eric, but at the last minute we decided to take Tade with us. It was so much fun. We left on Sunday and came back on Wednesday. I am still rocking from being on the boat. I only have a few pictures because my batteries died, but here is what I got.

This is my sister, Ashley's, leg. Since she was so kind as to take it with MY camera, I thought I would be equally kind and post it for all to see. Thanks Ash!!!

30 Years Old

Today the love of my life turned 30!!! He is the best husband ever. We have had a great day so far spending it together as a family. We ran lots of errands, stuffed ourselves at Tucanos, and played really hard at Nicklecade. Tonight we get to eat a yummy ice cream cake (thanks Halee!). Eric is so wonderful. He's really quiet, but I guess that's what makes us good together. He is a great leader in our family and also willing to listen and hear all of our opinions as well. He truly is the best. I LOVE YOU HONEY!!!

HBDTY, Taders!!!

My little Mister turned four today! Wow, I am getting old. Can I just tell you what a great kid he is. He always make us laugh. He is an amazing helper and a wonderful big brother. We had a really fun day. Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate!!!

Springville Art City Days 5K

This is me and my friend Marissa before we ran the race. We didn't take an after picture (I look bad enough in this before!). It was rainy and cold and we didn't really feel like running, but we still finished in 26 minutes and 43 seconds. They were giving out really good prizes after so we stuck around in the rain for an hour. Unfortunately, we didn't win anything. Oh well, next year. We are getting faster and increasing our miles so we're really happy with that. Next goal is the 24th of July Speedy Spaniard 10K! I'll let you know how we do!!!

We love SUMMER!!!

There really isn't much new going on here. Eric has finished his Masters. (Whoohoo!!!) And I'm still working. I feel bad because we never get to see people. We have to schedule a month out to do anything so sorry if we are ignoring you right now. It's not on purpose and, hopefully, we'll be back to normal in mid-August. Next week is a super busy work week and then a not so bad one and then it's off to Lake Powell. (Whoohoo!!! again) Here are some random pictures of what we've been doing in the meantime.
Ashes enjoying one of her first suckers. I'm a mean mom and because suckers are so messy my kids don't get them until they can eat them without making a mess.

Ashes and I both had on green polos so I made Eric take a picture.

Spaghetti dinner and ice cream for dessert. They got hosed down after this, but they loved it!

Ashlynn feeding her "baby".

Skylar's birthday party. Tade still doesn't understand the pinata concept.

Tade's "Binjem" Turtle shirt. It's so cute how he says it that I can't correct him.
Eric's school carnival. Tade loved the big slide. Ashlynn loves her daddy. They have grown so close these last few months. She doesn't like to do anything without him.
